Indian team defeated Australia by two wickets by scoring a big score in the first T20, Suryakumar and Ishan Kishan scored half-centuries and Rinku Singh finished the match.

AUS vs IND T20 2023: 1'st T20 match The first match between India and Australia will be played at Dr. Y.S. of Visakhapatnam. Played at Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.  India's new captain Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl. Team India won the match by scoring 209 runs for eight wickets in 19.5 overs. Australia had scored 208 runs for three wickets in 20 overs. Rinku Singh hit a six on the last ball, but Sean Abbott's ball was no-balled.  In such a situation, six was not added to Rinku's account.

Rinku Singh performed a turnaround in the last over.

    India had scored 202 runs for five wickets in 19 overs. Team India had to score seven runs on six balls to win. Rinku Singh and Akshar Patel were at the crease. Rinku hit a four on the first ball of Sean Abbott. After this, three runs were required from five balls. Rinku took a run on the next ball. After that Akshar Patel was out on the third ball. Ravi Bishnoi, who came to bat after him, was run out while trying to score a run on the fourth ball. India had to score two runs on two balls. On the fifth ball, Rinku Singh played a shot on the leg side and ran for the run. One run was completed and Arshdeep Singh was run out while attempting the second run. One run was to be scored on the last ball. Rinku was on strike.  If he was out or could not score runs, the match would have gone into a super over, but it did not happen. Rinku hit a six off the ball of Sean Abbott. Unfortunately, it did not add to Rinku's account as Abbott's foot was outside the crease and it was called a no-ball by the umpire. In such a situation, instead of a six, one run was added to India's account and Team India won the match with one ball remaining. Rinku Singh remained unbeaten after scoring 22 runs on 14 balls.
